Rhodos, Greece

Hello dear ones, I am glad to come to you this week with the experience I had in Rhodes. Was awesome! A place that I wholeheartedly recommend you visit. You have the vlog here, and below I leave you some details and photos.     Our trip was 7 nights, 8 days. I left Bucharest by plane. When we arrived at the airport, the gentleman from the agency where we had rented the car with a name plate was waiting for us. I paid for 8 days = 175 euros, and the gas for all the walks I did was 80 euros. This is the website where we rented the car. I highly recommend them, they were very nice, we rented a bigger car because we were 5 people and we had a lot of luggage. I did not need any deposit or advance. I paid when I got to the airport and that was it. Because our flight was in the evening, we decided to stay in Rhodes Town (which is a 20 minute drive from the airport) on the first night and set off on the 2nd day to the resort where we were staying - Kiotari (43 km) of Rhodos Town). We visited Old Town Rhodes both day and evening and it is simply charming: the Palace of the Grand Masters (entrance 8 euros), Knights Street, the alleys, the port, the place where the Colossus of Rhodes was, everything is absolutely gorgeous. Note: Excursions to Simi Island are made only from the port of Rhodes. We failed to make...

Plitvice Lakes National Park

Hello, dear ones! As I promised you last week, today we have the article and the Vlog about Plitvice National Park! Paradise on earth! It sounds too good to be true, but the good news is that it is very true! Located only 1200 km from Bucharest, a place that must be visited several times in life! A place where I was amazed everywhere. So much beauty gathered together is less common. Here is the vlog about our experience at Plitvice. I hope the pictures convince you to visit this place.     On our way from Dubrovnik home we decided to stop and visit Plitvice National Park.   From Dubrovnik to there I did about 5 hours. The National Park is located halfway between Zagreb and Zadar (so if you have this route in mind, do not avoid making a stop here). We arrived in Plitvice around 15:00, it was raining and we thought we would not be able to visit the park. Fortunately, in a few minutes the weather cleared and we were able to go buy tickets. Where do you park at Plitvice Lakes and how much does it cost? There are two entrances to the park: Entrance 1-Rastovača and Entrance 2-Hladovina. No matter where you choose to park, there is a bus that connects the two entrances. If you choose to enter a route from Entrance 1, (we entered there) and then leave the park at Entrance 2, there is no problem to get to the parking lot where you left your car. Parking was 7kuna / hour....

Walking around Montreal

Montreal experience was great! Green, green and again green! We went to Canada in September and we were so lucky because the weather was just wonderful. We’ve been sun kissed every day! The green all around completed this beautiful atmosphere. Canada is the place where you have the purest air, there you’ll find a lot of green places, nice places with water, peace, silence, relaxation, in a few words there is a good vibration. I place where I found out that if you are not stressed the things will just go with to flow or will be even better than you were expecting. It is great to remind sometimes this, because the things are getting easier then. There nobody is hurrying or stressing. It is amazing! Here it is what we did and loved: I love nature and everything that mean green, they can be in my plate or just in front of me. Haha. Just Kidding. So, first on my top list it is Mont Royal. Besides the huge and beautiful park full of nice squirrels, this offers to you a very nice top view of the city. I have to admit that wasn’t that easy to climb this mountain and reach the view, we had a lot of stairs and was pretty hard, but we just stopped to enjoy the surroundings when we felt the need. On the top the view is Amazing, also, there was a piano that everyone could play it. I did this and it felt...

Walking through San Francisco

This week we are going back to America, on the West Coast, to be more specific in an wonderful city named San Francisco. I have to confess that this is one of my favourite city in America. Why? Maybe because is not similar with other big and famous cities from there. It has something special, a special air. It reminds me of Europe. I love Europe! But, now I write about this piece of heaven from America. San Francisco is pretty similar with the beautiful sea side cities from Italy, it gives to you a very cozy feeling, it is stylish and coquette.  At least, this is how I felt it. We were so lucky! The weather was so nice, sunny, sunny and again sunny! Just lovely! Even though it is sunny, you have to pay attention to the temperatures. Because of the winds sometimes is pretty chili and in the evening is really cold, I felt it. If you were looking at the other tourists to see what you were supposed to wear you’ll never find out the truth, because some of them had shorts and t-shirts and others had coats and hats. So, my advice for you is to take a warmer coat with you, so you can enjoy the beauty of this city. What we have done and loved in this city. First stop was at Golden Gate Bridge. The bridge has been declared one of the modern wonders of the world. It was opened in 1937 and at that time it...

When in Rome

When I think about Rome my heart fills with joy. I love Italy! Pasta, pizza, ice cream, sea food, spaghetti, bruschetta, fresh salads and many more, so that it all sounds great! I am a gourmet. Besides loving to travel I also love food and Italy is exactly on my taste. That’s why I love to plan a trip from time to time in this beautiful country. Roma is a city full of history. When you walk around the streets you can imagine what our ancients did, even more, you can see a lot of what they’ve achieved. Roma is like an open space museum. A virgin space, where the technology did not yet destroyed the surroundings. It is a good place to escape without being surrounded by big boring buildings. In Rome it`s nice to go in any period of the year. In the winter it is not very cold and less crowded and in the summer it is full of tourist, pretty hot, but you find a lot of amazing places to relax and stay cool. I enjoy going in the summer time because I love the hot weather. In this city if you are just walking on the streets you’ll find everywhere things that delight you. However, I’ll try to put in order what we saw and liked and remains forever in our hearts.   The Colosseum is  one of the seven wonders of the world. It is on the top on our must see list! It was the biggest building of...
