Walnut mini-croissants stuffed with jam (Childhood Taste) / Christmas Recipes

Hello dear ones. During the holidays we have our loved ones around us and we want to pamper them with goodies.

Recipes that remind us of the taste of childhood are the most sought after.

So, I invite you to try this recipe for croissants that have walnuts in the dough and are filled with either jam. The recipe is inherited from my mother and I sincerely hope you like it!

I leave the filmed recipe here, and below you have all the details.

You need:

  • 200 g butter
  • 500 g flour
  • 100 g fat cream
  • 2 eggs
  • a teaspoon of vanilla essence
  • 200 g powdered sugar
  • 150 g walnuts
  • a pinch of salt

We will fill them with:

  • jam

We will decorate them with:

  • 250 g of powdered sugar (we will not use it all, but we need to roll the croissants well)

Put the walnuts in a frying pan and when they are ready, chop them.

In a bowl, beat the butter at room temperature with the eggs. Add the cream, vanilla essence, ground walnuts and gradually add the flour. We end up kneading the dough by hand.

When it’s ready, we divide it into eight and let it cool for 2 hours.

Remove the dough from the cold, give it a round shape and cut it into triangles.

On the small side of the triangle we put the jam and roll for. get the croissant.

Bake for 12-15 minutes at 180 degrees (preheated oven).

After baking, roll them in powdered sugar.

You can store them in the cold for up to 30 days or you can put the dough in the freezer and use it when you need it.

Good appetite!
