Beef Salad (Salad du Boeuf) Christmas Edition

Hello dear friends, Happy to see you today with a recipe that can’t be missed on the Christmas table: Beef Salad!   If you've never done it before it's no problem, there's a start to it all! If you have made Boeuf salad before, I invite you to try this recipe that has the imprint of the Munteanu family.   Here is the filmed recipe, and below I give you all the details.   For two large trays and one small.   We will need: 8 medium potatoes 3 large carrots a large parsnip half a kg of chicken breast 5 pickles salt to taste For mayonnaise: 300 ml of oil 3 eggs (we will use only the yolks)   For decoration we will use red peppers pickled   * Peas are also put in the classic beef salad, but we never put them. If you like peas you can use it.   First, we will boil all the vegetables and meat. Put two eggs to boil (for mayonnaise). We boil them to be overhard. While the vegetables are boiling, we will cut the pickled cucumbers into cubes.   After the eggs have boiled, remove the yolks, place them in a bowl. Add the raw egg yolk. (in total 3 yolks, 2 boiled and one raw). Grind the boiled egg yolks and mix them with the raw one. Put a little oil on top and start mixing with the mixer. Mix in one direction, otherwise you broke the mayonnaise! Optionally you can add a tablespoon of mustard over mayonnaise. Gradually pour the oil and mix. When we're done...

Home Made Pretzels (Romanian ones) /Christmas Edition

Hello dear ones, during this period we will see each other more and more often because I want to share some Christmas recipes with you and I hope with all my heart that you will like them and try them.   Today we will make a kind of Pretzel, a traditional one in Romania. The recipe that my mother made for me as a child and that she still makes today every Christmas. It is an extremely simple and quick recipe, we do not leave the dough to rise, so we finish the whole thing in a maximum of 30 minutes.   Here is the filmed recipe, and below I give you all the details.   For 5 trays of Pretzels we will need: 300 g of salted cheese 150 g of butter 200 g of yogurt an egg flour (at least 500 grams of flour) Grease them with a beaten egg Garnish with cumin / sesame / poppy seeds     All we have to do is put the aforementioned ingredients in a bowl and mix them, knead the dough until all the ingredients are incorporated. Then we cut it into pieces so we can spread the sheet, make the sticks, grease them with egg, decorate them as you like. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 180 degrees. Then we enjoy them!   So simple!   If you liked the recipe, I invite you to subscribe to my Youtube channel.       Merry Christmas!   With love,   Cezara  ...

Home for Christmas

This week we are not going anywhere. However, I can’t talk about a specific place where we will find ourselves, because I don’t know where your home is. Everybody’s driving home for Christmas. Finally, here comes the most beautiful period of the year and the times that everybody enjoy. Christmas is the perfect time for going home and spending quality time with our loved ones. It is the time for our friends, the time of giving, the time of trying new recepies, or cooking the old ones, while listening or singing carols. My home town is 500 km far from the place I live, which is a lot. The good part when your home is so far away is that you can make the way home more interesting. The way home is allways full of surprises. So, our first stop was at Busteni. We wanted to go skying but the season wasn’t opened yet. That was the second year that we misschoosed the period for skiing, but  we had an alternative at Azuga which is 7 km away from Busteni. I didn`t get upset because the winter season has just begun and there is enough time for skiing. Even more,  the souroundings were so nice that I didn’t want to go anywhere else. We played outside on the ski slope, we climbed a hill and we rolled in the snow. We were all alone so we admired the fascinating view in silence. Another place as those in the fairytales is The Peles Castle....
