Tuna Pasta

Hello my dears, this week at Wednesday’s Recipe, I propose to you to cook together Pasta with Tuna and red sauce.

It is an extremely simple recipe, but one that I simply adore. I discovered it when I was first in Italy and since then I cook it almost every time I want to spoil myself and my friends. I was 14 when I first cooked it, so you can imagine it’s nothing complicated.

Here is the recipe filmed and explained, and written below:

For 2 servings (generous) / 3 servings We will need:

  • 250 grams of Spaghetti Pasta
  • Two cans of tone
  • An onion
  • three cloves of garlic
  • 350 ml of tomato sauce
  • 200 ml of red sauce
  • 200 grams of mushrooms (I used champignon)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Oil
  • Oregano
  • Basil
  • Parmesan

First, we boil water for pasta. Add a little salt to the pot, and when the water starts to boil add the pasta and let it boil as much as it says in instructions written on the package.

Meanwhile, heat the oil in the pan, add the chopped onion and chopped garlic. We leave them to harden. Cut the mushrooms into slices and add them to the pan. We let them cook. Add salt and pepper to taste. Then add the tuna, meanwhile mix in the pan and after 2 minutes add the tomato sauce and red sauce. (I like pasta with a lot of sauce). Then add oregano and basil, to taste.

Let the sauce boil and stir from time to time in the pan. Meanwhile, if the pasta has boiled, drain the water (I rinse them under a stream of cold water, but it’s optional). Then we put them in the pan, over the red sauce. Stir until the sauce is incorporated.

And I’m ready! We put them on the plate and garnish with Parmesan cheese.

Good appetite!

A quick and delicious recipe that you can’t go wrong with!
