Discover Bulgaria

When it’s hot outside and it’s officially summer, wherever you are, the thought is still flying on vacation!
You do not have to have 2 weeks at your disposal and a few thousand euros to taste from Paradise. Because it’s only a border distance away! I was happy to discover Bulgaria.

Every time I had a free weekend and started the season, we went to the sea on the Romanian seaside, but one day we decided to go a little further.
Just three hours away from Bucharest, Bulgaria surprised me in a very pleasant way. We found wonderful places for the most epic photos, we found white and fine sandy beach beaches and crystal clear water, a green oasis, lots of history, a castle, a beautiful botanical garden, and people ready to make your holidays more beautiful.
At prices similar to those on our seaside, if not even more convenient sometimes cost / price ratio, Bulgaria is a great idea for a short escapade. Just as much as you need to recharge your batteries and enjoy the summer until the long-awaited trip comes.

Spread over a length of nearly 400 km, the seaside in Bulgaria includes a spectacular variety of resorts and towns where you can spend your holiday with your family or a bunch of friends. It is impossible for someone not to find a destination to his liking and not to enjoy beautiful beaches and quality tourist services.

Here’s what we managed to discover and we fell in love irremediably.

1.Tyulenovo
It is a favorite of scuba diving, snorkeling, cliff-jumping, deep water solo and other extreme madness in sports involving water and cliffs. You fall in love with Tyulenovo at first glance. It’s a great place to relax when you look at what surrounds you. I’m not good at water sports, so I was happy to take some photos to capture the beauty around me. There you feel that time stops, the air is wonderful, and the color of the sea hypnotize you. I learned that between 1913-1940 he was part of the Balchik net of Caliacra County, Romania. The settlement was called Calicichioi.

2. Balchik
We stayed in Balchik, which was ideal for us because we were able to explore the surroundings and found some beautiful beaches nearby, as the beach there is a picturesque and modest one. Balchik conquers, instead, the city’s historic air. Here is the Balchik Castle, the Queen Mary’s favorite summer residence, surrounded by a uniquely famous botanical garden in Central and Eastern Europe, especially due to the cactus collection. The palace combines several architectural styles, it is built on terraces and separated from the sea by a cliff. The palace building is completed by a chapel and a botanical garden. The Queen wanted to be buried in the chapel of Balchik, so here was the heart of Queen Maria after her death in 1938. The garden shelters over 3,000 plant species and is one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in Europe .
Due to the limestone slopes in its perimeter, the town was named White City. The whole area was called the Silver Coast for the same reasons.

3. Kavarna
The city is persevering in its origins, Kavarna has gained its popularity thanks to the golf courses in the area and the proximity to Kaliakra’s head, a rocky and tall rocky strip that goes out spectacularly from the sea. With the development of the Bulgarian seaside, Kavala began to flourish. The small port now it is full of luxurious yachts . Here I have discovered two beautiful beaches.

4. Thracian Cliffs
It is a resort in Kavarna. The place where luxury, refinement and adventure are interwoven. I spent a day in this resort and it was superb. From the golf car that took us and takes us off the beach to the pleasure of simply relaxing in the sun. This resort offers you all: spas, superb retreats, golf courses and a beach with the finest sand and the most blue water.

5. Albena
Albena is the most sought-after resort in Bulgaria, just 15 minutes from Balchik. Positioned between the sea and the forest area, it offers beautiful views of any location. We could even say that we found heaven there, you’ll see why. The wood we crossed the way to the beach conquered me forever. It is also the ideal place for a walk during the midday when you want to avoid the sun too strong. An oasis of tranquility, coolness and greenery. The beach is wide, with fine sand and gold, smooth water and bounded by a promenade.

Bulgaria was wonderful, I can not wait for the next visit to discover other wonderful places. Enjoy!
